The finalists for the Australian Yachting Awards have been announced and the Royal Geelong Yacht Club has been named as a finalist.

The dates for Skandia Geelong Week and Skandia Docklands Invitational have been announced. The annual event will kick off in the Docklands on Wednesday 21st, before the Audi Series will commence from Friday 23rd – Monday 26th January 2009.

Long time Skandia Geelong Week Event Coordinator Doug Jarvis was nominated for ‘Services to Yachting’ and he received the Yachting Australia award at a gala function in Sydney last night.

With a commitment made in July 2006 to extend its inaugural contract for a further four years, Skandia Australia is the title sponsor of Skandia Geelong Week through until 2011.
